Simone Cimiluca-Radzins, CPA
Simone’s expertise is in business strategy, finance, risk management, and business process improvement. Simone has helped take companies public, performed external, internal, and forensic audits, and has improved business operations for hundreds of clients. With a background in Big 4 public accounting and international consulting for Fortune 500 companies, Simone has lived and worked in Spain and France and has assisted clients throughout Latin America, Western and Northern Europe, and the Asia Pacific region.
Simone is an active member of the cannabis business community in Southern California and has been working in the cannabis industry since 2014. She is the founder of LIV Consulting, a CPA and management consulting firm and the CEO of Kalogia, an online network that connects cannabis professionals. She has spoken about cannabis banking and 280E issues on National Public Radio (NPR); has lectured on the US cannabis economy in Prague and Costa Rica, and has given multiple talks at 420 College, Cannabis Finance Bootcamp, Women Grow and the University of Oregon.

Kristen has an unparalleled insight into every facet of operating within the cannabis industry. Kristen speaks from experience as a consumer, budtender, cannabis and extract vendor, grower, edible manufacturer, cannabis lab project manager and dispensary manager. Kristen’s knowledge base covers everything from marijuana cultivation, extraction processes, edible formulation, quality control, new product development, nutrition facts labeling, recipe formulation, manufacturing operations/administrative procedures for food manufacturing, cannabis chemistry, patient education, dispensary management, terpenes, etc.
Over the past 11 years Kristen has managed and/or set up 2 edible companies, one being an I502 compliant edible company in WA(Evergreen Herbal), the other being one of the largest edible companies in CA(Venice Cookie Company), as well as the first dispensary in the City of LA(CAC), a cannabis branding company(Aquarius Cannabis), and a cannabis testing lab(The Werc Shop) with multiple locations on the west coast. In the midst of her tenure, Kristen learned to grow cannabis both indoor and outdoor, while apprenticing under a master grower. Suffice it to say, Kristen has found her niche!
Joan is a Big 4 alumnus with industry experience in banking, alternative investments, entertainment, advertising and retail. Joan has led the Finance team in a wide array of companies within the advertising and retail industries and has also consulted for several governmental agencies in Puerto Rico. She has extensive experience in leading the preparation and analysis of financial statements, as well as setting up processes and controls for start-ups requiring improvements in their Financial processes. Her areas of expertise include FP&A, financial modeling, forecasting and budgeting, strategic planning, data mining, fraud risk assessment, production and retail accounting, and accounting for alternative investments.
